In 2003 writing began that would eventually create 10 independent releases, 2 Ep's and 2 singles. Culling sounds and imagery from surf, lo-fi, garage, pop, punk, alternative, new wave, sci-fi, jazz, country and western and blues all coming together to create a unique brand of American electro roots called 

the Frank Mustard Project.

The Frank Mustard Project was originally a home writing and recording project by Jeff Rowe, who formerly played roots music notably for Junior Brown. Jeff further developed the Frank Mustard Project when recruiting a few friends and began playing live. Since then the Frank Mustard Project has been happy to have been represented by Hard Pressed Publicity and to have shared the stage with Alejandro Escovedo, Poi Dog Pondering and Southern Culture on the Skids. Playing the Continental Club, Antone’s and Hole in the Wall among many others Austin venues. The Frank Mustard Project has recorded 2 Ep's. Future Music, recorded at Pedernales with Gordie Johnson and Jacob Sciba in 2012 and Jelly Butter, recorded at Wire studio with Stuart Sullivan in 2013.

In 2019 the Frank Mustard Project was renewed with it's third lineup by adding a duo backed with 20 years of playing music together, Coco Porter on bass and Stephen P on acoustic and electric drums. FMP recently finished recording 2 new singles! "Cantankerous Fibers" and "Touch It". Both songs were recorded at Old Wheel Studio by Cris Burns in February of 2023 in Austin TX and are currently available wherever you download music.
